The Struggle

Real-World Training & Behavior Solutions for Real-Life Dogs Have you ever found yourself wishing your dog could just listen when it actually matters? Maybe you are struggling with a puppy who thinks your hands are chew toys, or a dog who turns a simple neighborhood walk into a game of tug-of-war. Or maybe, it is deeper than that. Maybe you are dealing with a dog who barks and lunges at everything on walks, panics the moment you leave the house, or struggles with deep-seated fear and reactivity. Beyond the stress, perhaps you just want a well-behaved companion you can feel genuinely proud of in front of your friends and out in public. If you are feeling frustrated, isolated, or overwhelmed by your dog's behavior, and you are wondering if you will ever have a peaceful household again, you are exactly in the right place.

Hi! I'm Nicole

Hi, I’m Nicole. I believe that dog training should not be a mystery, and modifying tough behavioral issues should not feel like a battle. My mission is simple: to give you the clear, practical, and science-backed tools you need to understand your dog, change their underlying emotional response, and build a partnership based on trust. Whether we are setting a puppy up for success or navigating complex behavior modification, I am here to guide you with empathy and clarity.

When I am not on the training field, I practice what I preach. My life is kept beautifully busy by my husband, Gary, and our two incredible pups, Bae and Remi. When I do not have a treat pouch in hand, you can usually find me fueling my own daily momentum. Whether that means hitting a local Zumba class, tracking my steps, or working on graphic design projects, I believe in staying active, staying curious, and never pausing on personal growth.

My Credentials

When you work with me, you are partnering with a professional bound by a strict code of ethics and backed by rigorous national standards. You are not getting generic internet advice, force-based methods, or guesswork. You are getting over a decade of hands-on experience combined with true, verified behavioral science to safely and effectively bring peace back to your home. My training philosophy is built on safety, science, and clear communication. To ensure your peace of mind, I maintain top industry credentials:

  • CBCC-KA: Certified Behavior Consultant Canine. An advanced specialization in complex canine behavior modification.

  • CPDT-KA: Certified Professional Dog Trainer. Signifying a deep, proven understanding of effective instruction.

  • Official AKC Evaluator: Authorized to evaluate and title dogs for Canine Good Citizen programs.

Let us cut through the noise, address the root cause of the behavior, and get your dog focused, comfortable, and completely on cue.

Dog Training is Unregulated

Did you know that the dog training and behavior industry is completely unregulated? Technically, anyone can call themselves a trainer or a behavior specialist overnight, without a single hour of formal education, testing, or a code of ethics to follow. When you are dealing with a dog who is fearful, anxious, or reactive, the wrong advice can do real, lasting harm. When choosing a professional to work with your family, always look for independent, national certifications rather than self-made titles. My certifications mean my knowledge has been rigorously tested by outside governing bodies. The CBCC-KA designation proves advanced qualification in handling deep behavioral issues like fear and aggression, while the CPDT-KA guarantees a foundational mastery of humane, science-based training methodologies. Investing in independent credentials ensures your dog is always in safe, qualified hands.
